CHECK-IN: Check-in is 3pm to 5pm. We can accommodate late arrival, but for the comfort of our other guests, arrangements must be made with the front desk before the arrival date. If you are checking in late and need assistance, please call our after-hours number 207-256-7221.
CHECK – OUT: Before 10:30 A.M. on the last morning of your stay. Late check-out can sometimes be accommodated, but will need to be cleared with staff in advance.
RESERVATIONS: We do not accept same day reservations online, please call to book same day.
OCCUPANCY: Room rates are for up to 2 people. Some rooms can accommodate more than 2 people, but please note there is an additional charge per adult.
DEPOSIT: When a reservation is made, for a one-night stay, a 100% deposit is required. A 50% deposit is required if you will be staying with us for two or more nights. Deposits can be made via American Express, Mastercard, Visa or Discover.
FINAL PAYMENT: The remaining balance of your stay will be charged to the credit card that we have on file 14 days prior to your arrival. A credit card number is required for all reservations, regardless of payment type.
CANCELLATION: Because The Cornish Inn is a small establishment, cancellations can have a significant impact on our business. If you need to cancel your reservation 15 days or more prior to arrival date, your deposit, minus a $50 processing fee, will be refunded to you. The balance of your reservation will be charged at 14 days. For cancellations made 14 days or less prior to your arrival, your payment will not be refunded. If you shorten your stay with us, it is considered a cancellation for those nights booked. A $50 processing fee will be applied to any refund issued to you.
For reservations holding multiple rooms or for stays where you will be with us longer than 5 days, the cancellation notice period is 30 days prior rather than 14 days prior.
If on the day of check-in, you shorten or cancel your stay with us, your stay will remain charged in full per the original reservation made with us. If you are a "No Show" you are responsible for the entire balance of the reservation made and will be charged in full.
PARKING: Upon arrival, guests of The Cornish Inn may park in the parking lot to the side of the inn, or around the Central Park of Cornish. All parking, including any off-street parking, is free overnight.
SMOKING: This is a 200-year-old building, so for the comfort and safety of all, we are a non-smoking facility, including the porch. We do have seating areas and butt receptacles around the grounds; please feel free to use them. Please be aware that if we find that you have smoked in your guest room, we will charge your credit card for no less than one night lodging (more if professional cleaning is required).
PROPERTY: We take pride in the Inn and its décor. Items removed from rooms will be subject to a replacement charge.
PETS: We do love pets, but realize that there may be guests with allergies or other issues with allowing dogs and cats to stay in the Inn. For the comfort of all of our guests, we do not permit pets.
CHILDREN: People of all ages are welcome.
ACCESS FOR DISABLED PERSONS: The Inn is not currently equipped for handicap access. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes and are continuing to work on improving accessibility.
